Silverton High Red Cross is installing free smoke alarms!

Home / School News / Silverton High Red Cross is installing free smoke alarms!

The Silverton Red Cross Club in partnership with the Northwest Oregon Chapter of the American Red Cross will be installing Smoke Alarms for free on Saturday, April 23rd in Silverton. We are very excited to offer this in our community and hope to make Silverton an even safer place.

The Office of State Fire Marshal has provided the alarms for free with the condition that we install them in your homes and make sure they work before we leave. We have trained teams that will quickly test your current system and then install alarms that are needed. If you don’t have smoke alarms in all of the bedrooms or if your alarms are 10 years old or older, the National Fire Protection Association suggests that new alarms be installed.

We will be making appointments on the 23rd but if that isn’t convenient we can set up a time on a different day to install the alarms. Sign up here to get your free smoke alarm check/install or call us at 503-528-5783. If you have questions, email us at
